Host your events and office space with us and support the work of the Oakland Peace Center! We offer many available spaces to rent for your gatherings and events* at our beautiful building in the Oakland Avenue-Harrison Street neighborhood of Oakland, just a block off of Broadway. *Any occasional use of our spaces should be somewhat aligned with the mission statement of the Oakland Peace Center. This also means we do not allow our space to be used for events that endorse or support a particular candidate for political office.

Fellowship hall

Shelton Hall

  • balcony overlooking garden

  • ideal for events for 20-60 people

  • general rate: $60/hour, usually rented in 4-hour blocks for $240 (discounts for non-profits and OPC partners)

 
 

Sanctuary

  • front-facing seating (fixed), ideal for up to 300 people (400 with balcony)

  • generous stage area

  • approximately 4500 square feet

  • general rate: $100/hour, usually rented in 4-hour blocks for $400 (discounts for non-profits and OPC partners)

patio room

  • approximately 250 square feet

  • each room ideal for 5-15 people

  • street entrance (lot and street parking available)

  • general rate: $35/hour, usually rented in 4-hour blocks for $140 (discounts for non-profits and OPC partners)

The Chapel

  • front-facing seating (flexible), ideal for 15-45 people

Please note: some of these items may not be available, some may be available for a fee. Chairs and tables will be available but people holding the event are in charge of set up and tear down.
For major events, we encourage the rental of ADA-compliant portable toilets. We can make sure cleaners use scent-free cleaning solutions with advance notice but also acknowledge that hundreds of building users each week make it difficult to make a space 100% chemical- or scent-free.
